Snack after school

Caleb asked for an orange right after school (literally getting into my car at the bus stop).  Now we had been given two from my MIL, but that was several weeks ago and they are long gone.  So I had to get a new idea.  So I asked:

(counting on each finger) "I am thinking of something cold, it comes on a stick, and it is covered with chocolate."

The kid actually figured out I was talking about his Tofutti "Yours Truly" ice cream bars.  And yes, he got one.  :D (And Mommy got some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream too :D).

Of course right after he finished the ice cream (30 minutes later), he asked for an orange and had a tantrum about that, but you win some and lose some, right?

Working on tomorrow's clues now....

  1. Certain times of the year, Preston is obsessed with eating oranges almost all day long. Now, I finally have him drinking orange juice instead. Easier to avoid the oranges getting too old to eat safely. hahaha
