We just recently purchased a new Roku box that allows us to stream videos to our TV. We have been using our Netflix account, and may get others at some point, but Netflix is working for us really well. Caleb has REALLY started to enjoy Blue's Clues, which he didn't watch before (we were a PBS family before this switch). Watching Blue's Clues has made Caleb want to do his own clues, but given that he doesn't draw well and since he is 4, he doesn't plan well, it's been more Mommy making the clues and Caleb finding them. It's been interesting to see what I can come up with.
I am going to try to share the Caleb's clues we play each day or whatever days we do use them, and for whatever we use them for. Right now, I am trying to get a good pattern set up for getting ready for school. You know, getting a shirt, underwear, pants, socks, and shoes on before we have to leave to for the bus stop. I have to figure out how to post pictures here, but when I do, I will post the index cards I create for him here as well.
Please keep in mind that Caleb is not the normal 4 year old. He is able to read, and has read poem-clues I left for him at another time. Some of these clues will be pictures, and some will be written. Some written ones may rhyme, but other might not.
